Frumble's Law: whatever bad might happen, will certainly happen to Mr. Frumble.
Mr. Frumble is clueless as to why he can't catch a break and doesn't know why fate has set their designs on him. But a life spent chasing down a hat is no life at all!
“God Must Just Hate Him,” says Hilda Hippo.
Those close to the situation have their opinions. Lowly Worm says it's just a case of terrible luck; Hilda Hippo says God must just hate him.
Whatever it is, Mr. Frumble definitely can't get out of his own way.
Like the time he destroyed an entire coffee shop...or thinking that he could possibly get around town in an unregistered pickle car? It's totally reckless!
Or the thousands of dollars in damages he causes chasing that damn hat!
The townspeople fear the worst and agree that it's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt. They would like to intervene and get him the help he needs, but their worlds are just so busy!
"It's sad," commented Mistress Mouse. "He's genuinely a nice guy but seems like a bedfellow to misfortune. Just last week I had to pull him out of an open manhole he had fallen into."
Those close to the situation believe Frumble has now developed substance abuse problems as a way to cope with his hardships. He's been seen lately near the railways hanging upside down with The Three Beggars.
"He needs to get help before something truly tragic happens," said Pa Pig. "I just hope my children aren't out on the street when he gets liquored up and decides to get behind the wheel of that dill death trap!"
The people of Busytown believe that it is time for the authorities to intervene but wonder how well equipped Sergeant Murphy is to deal with this type of situation. He has logged zero hours in the crisis intervention and prevention class being offered by the department.
When asked for comment, Sergeant Murphy says he's just too busy with all the traffic jams in town.
Mayor Fox declined to be interviewed for this story but claims that his office is currently "looking into" getting Mr. Frumble the help he needs.
So until then, "Lookout Mr. Frumble!"
