Sheriffs in Piqua, Ohio arrested a "superhero" Friday on suspicion of exposing himself multiple times to several victims, including at least two minors.
In a news release, the Piqua Sheriff's Department Police did not release the identity of the minors, but identified the victims as two fourth graders who are self-proclaimed comic book authors and local pranksters.
No connection between the suspect and the victims could be clearly established, but the suspect kept creepily calling the two minors “his trusty sidekicks.'“
The suspect also identified himself as "Captain" on multiple occasions, even though he could not prove that he was recognized by the Nautical Profession.
The statement went on to identify the crimes as "a series of separate and disturbing incidents involving public indecency and lewd exposure."
According to charges, on several occasions the suspect would “change” in front of the minors behind closed doors, eventually wearing nothing but a red and black polka dot cape.
The suspect allegedly has a troubled and dysfunctional life, due to his alter-ego’s present occupation as a middle-school principal. While this doesn’t take him off of the hook, it does add background to the trauma the suspect currently is wrestling with.
When he was picked up, the person of interest was without any form of identification and police could only identify him with the initials in his undergarments, "CU."
The suspect also identified himself as "Captain" on multiple occasions, even though he could not prove that he was recognized by the Nautical Profession or received accolades or a standard of excellence by a Shipmaster.
Before questioning, the suspect did openly identify himself as a registered sex-offender. Once investigated, records show a long history of inappropriate interactions and altercations with several students and staff at Jerome Horwtiz Elementary.
One victim, Melvin Richard Sneedly, filed for a restraining order and accused the suspect of years of systematic abuse. Sneedly’s report details several occasions where the suspect had either thrown his underwear at him or forced him to wear the underwear over his face in what must be some depraved sex-act.
After hours of questioning, detective were able to determine that the suspect has committed at least a dozen inappropriate acts or sex crimes, ranging from 1997 to 2015. Some of these lewd acts were even filmed and streamed as recently as 2018.
